Wine Tasting Wine Making

Spring is upon us and it's time for my husband to start making wine!! The cherry tree has blossoms, the peach tree has some buds and hopefully other fruit will go on sale at the grocery.

Last year he made: cherry, sweet potato, blueberry, peach, and plum wine.
His sweet blueberry was my favorite and then the cherry.

I would actually like him to try a banana wine and a friend of us wants him to try onion!
Anyone with some good wine making ideas and recipes, please post them.

I Don't Want To

I posted pictures of our other kittens. But these are the ones I have to find a home for in the next week or two.
I don't want to. I need to get newer pictures because they have grown and are in to everything! They make me laugh.
Trying to find them a home upsets me because I'm such an animal lover I have to KNOW they are going to a loving home. One that will keep them inside away from the dangers of cars and animals that could hurt them. I want to know they will be well cared for and loved.
I really don't want to give them up!!

Our New Kittens

We've rescued 5 cats and 2 of them had kittens!
Adorable and it's going to be so hard giving them up. I need to find homes that will keep them inside, love them and protect them.

It's Warming Up and Time To Travel for Tastings

My husband gave The Traveling Vineyard a try - if you ask me - big rip off.
The parties were a lot of fun, chance to make money...ha funny.

now that the weather is getting better we are off to try different wine and whiskey tastings.

We are also planting some blueberry bushes this year so my husband can make Blueberry Wine! The Cherry Wine he made last year was sooo good, especially with a piece of dark chocolate.

His peach tree is budding and yep he planted that to make Peach Wine.
So while my husband is busy with the fruit I've been working on my work-at-home adventure.

The makeup I sell is doing better. Once someone tries it, they buy it. In fact I gave a sample out on Tuesday and she purchased on Thursday!

Ready for the New Year

I don't know about you but I'm ready for this new year. I know it will be better than last year. Not that last year was bad, I just didn't do much forward moving.
I believe this is a year of blessing from my Father God. There is so much in the Bible that 'churches' do not teach. There's a lot I don't understand, some I think God 'just' added that part and others that are like 'wow I like that promise'.
Psalm 103

1 Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. 2 Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits- 3 who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, 4 who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, 5 who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

I find churches teach and we accept 'God will forgive all our sins.' I believe this and praise God for His mercy and forgiveness. BUT what about 'heals all your diseases'?? Why is this not taught? Why do we not praise God for this, pray and remind Him of this Scripture, BELIEVE He will heal us? I think it's time we start looking at ALL of God's word. Quit going to church and taking what the pastor tells you, go home and check for yourself! You will be amazed at what you will find.
Many Scriptures do have a 'if' you ....and then tells us what we must do. So obedience is an important part.
Stop letting yourself get discouraged, pick up God's word, start a prayer journal with His word in it so when you feel you can't pray.....you read His word back to Him. He will honor it. We serve a loving God. We really do. Because of my past it took me a long and I mean long time to be able to call Him my Father. What a release, what a joy, now that I can.

May this be a year of blessing and growth in your walk with our Father.
